Unlike set models like group homes, ILO allows you to mix and match formal support (paid workers) with informal support (housemates, hosts, mentors, or neighbours) to create a sustainable, safe, and truly individualised life.
This initial phase is where we work intensively with you, your family, and your support network to map out your future home life. This process is crucial and includes
Setting up and managing the main support arrangement (e.g., contracting housemates or hosts, and managing their support role).
Arranging flexible support like paid “drop-in” shifts, on-call assistance, and leveraging the support of neighbours or volunteers.
Providing ongoing oversight, regular check-ins, and facilitating adjustments or problem-solving if your needs or the arrangement change.
